5&Vine helped Greenlight develop a Challenger Brand strategy that drove massive customer growth of parents who are raising financially-smart kids. Greenlight now has 5M members and is valued at $2.3Bn.
THE CHALLENGE
Greenlight engaged 5&Vine to supercharge growth and successfully position them for a Series A. We set out to develop a brand strategy that inspired kids and established trust and credibility with parents, all while developing a scalable growth model and the structure for an in-house marketing team.
OUR APPROACH
As the world shifts to digital payments, the traditional methods of teaching financial literacy to kids (paper bills, coins and piggy banks) are quickly becoming a relic of the past. 5&Vine recognized the opportunity to rewrite the script for parents on raising financially smart kids. To drive adoption, we established credibility via press and influencers and ran awareness campaigns in key cities to drive community virality. We zeroed in on use cases where kids are naturally independent (like camp, after-school sports, and more) to present Greenlight in an authentic and relevant way.
THE OUTCOME
5&Vine helped drive massive customer growth, a $20M Series A led by Amazon, an exceptional roster of Tier 1 press, an affiliate program, an advocacy and referral program, and an in-house marketing team. Greenlight currently has 5M users and is valued at $3.2Bn.
